would be great if there would be more shading capabilities, like blinn+reflections etc... actually, the reflections mode doesn't support specularity, and this is really bad for glass and such materials.. also some features like fresnel (view-dependet falloff of the reflection map), layered materials and a ramp material would enhance the capabilities alot, even if there is no dx9 support. :wink:

Yes. I couldn't agree more!

Blaze, a wirefusion competitor, has a Fresnel like shader and it is beautiful. It makes surfaces much more realistic

Okay I figured out how to do this with reflection maps. Wirefusion comes with a reflection map called "window.jpg" The outer edge is much brighter than the middle. This makes for a nice Fresnel effect
