Problems adding objects (3D Scene) to script area

Postby kca » Sun Nov 28, 2010 9:57 pm

Hi,

I have got a problem with adding a 3D scene or even try adding an image in wirefusion 5. When try drag and adding a 3D scene to the script area it first gives me the load option bar. After that it just keeps loading with the time cursor for ever.
You never get to the bar where you can browse for i.e. your .wrl file.
Sometimes you're not even able to drag the image object into the script area at all?
Could there be a problem with the compatibility of windows 7 or something? The program seems to start all well though.

Thanks
kca

I have the same thing, it's something about the Java JRE, Windows 7 and Wirefusion 5.
You won't be able to enter the 3D Scene object, but you can do everything else.

That's why I keep windows XP on another partition, linked to its JRE and run WF from there.

What exactly do you mean by XP being "linked to its JRE"? Would you recommend creating a virtual hard drive on the main partition to install XP on?

well I have windows vista x64 with Java JRE 1.6 update 23 for x64.

Windows XP is on another partition with Java JRE 1.6 update 23 for x32. WF is installed here too and the shortcut points to java.exe for the x32 installed there.

you could install windows on two partitions or simply use VMWare and install it there, much easier this way.

Ok, thanks for the tip!
I have tried partitioned the HD and made a virtual HD. Then installed Oracle Virtual Machine on it to run XP on. Works pretty good.
