General
No browser plug-in needed
No browser plug-in is required to view web presentations
made with WireFusion, only a Java enabled browser. More
than 90% of all computers worldwide have Java installed
(Jupitermedia, March 2004).
Up
Expandable with Add-ons
All editions can be expanded with WireFusion add-ons.
An add-on can consist of one or several objects. Available
add-ons are WF-Zoom, WF-SlideShow, WF-Video and WF-MP3.
Up
LiveUpdate support
Always keep your WireFusion updated. Get new features
and fixes automatically installed with the built-in
LiveUpdate function.
Up
License permits commercial use
The Software License Agreement permits the End-User
to publish and use the presentations for commercial
use.Up
Available as Network version
A Network version allows for floating licenses on a
LAN, which means that fewer licenses is needed.
Up
Solution Providers listing
As a Professional or Enterprise user you may optionally
be listed in the Demicron Solution
Providers listing, giving you an opportunity to
get exposure to your company.

Productivity
Visual programming
WireFusion uses an intuitive and easy-to-use visual
programming semantic, which requires no prior programming
knowledge. Pre-coded and optimized objects are used
to create the logic of your presentation.
Up
Unlimited layers
Graphics elements in WireFusion are placed in layers,
similar to the layers in Adobe Photoshop®. Layer
orders can be dynamically changed (animated).
Up
Real-time filters
Advanced real-time image-processing filters, similar
to Adobe Photoshop®. Filter parameters can be dynamically
changed (animated).
Up
Animated 2D parameters
Ability to dynamically change (animate) parameters and
settings, such as opacities, colors, positions, dimensions,
filter parameters etc.
Up
Animated 3D parameters
Ability to dynamically change (animate) material parameters
and settings, such as opacities, colors, glossiness
etc.
Up
Debugger
A built-in debugger and breakpoints help to walk through
and analyze each step in your presentation during runtime.
Up
Animated 3D textures
3D textures can easily be replaced and animated, using
either the Texture or the TextureArray object. Play
Macromedia Flash animations or MPEG movies on a texture,
or simply make a fade animation between different textures.
Up
Interactive 3D textures
A unique feature in WireFusion is the possibility to
create truly interactive textures, using the Texture
object. Paint or write text on textures, or even add
interactive 3D presentations as textures.
Up
Flash playback
Support for playback of Flash animations within
WireFusion presentations. The Flash player, which is
purely Java based, is only about 50kb in size and does
not require a Flash player to be installed on the computer
in order to playback SWF animations.
Create nice looking intros, animated menus and hotspots,
or vector based text animations, and play them in your
WireFusion presentations. Just as with the video player
in WireFusion, you can play your Flash animations as
textures on your 3D models.
The animations, which have to be in the Flash version
2 format, can contain both interactivity and sound.
Even though Flash 2 is rather old and primitive compared
to the latest Flash versions, it allows for inclusion
of high quality vector graphics into WireFusion presentations.
Note: All Flash versions from Flash 2 to Flash
MX can export animations in the Flash 2 format.
Up
JavaScript support
The External Link object allows WireFusion presentations
to communicate (send/receive parameters to/from) with
HTML pages, using JavaScript. JavaScripts can also be
executed directly from inside WireFusion presentations.
Up
Java programming support
A Java object allows Java programmers to write and compile
advanced Java code directly from inside WireFusion.
Up
External communication
The External Link object allows for communication between
WireFusion presentations and Java Applications and Java
Beans. It can also be used to read Java applet parameters
from the HTML code.
Up
Custom loading graphics
Replace the default loading graphics with your own graphics
or automatically use a screenshot of the first frame
in your presentation during the loading process.
Up
Create Favorites
Expand the Favorites with your own configured objects.
Up
Import and Export Favorites
Import Favorites made by other users. Export and share
your Favorites with other users.
Up
Encryption
Published HTML presentations can optionally be encrypted,
preventing users from stealing your resources.
Up
Screenshot uploader
A Screenshot uploader object allows site visitors to
take screenshots of running presentations. The screenshot
images, with thumbnails, are uploaded and stored on
the web server, using a Java Servlet.
Up
3D API - Advanced 3D programming
The 3D API (Application Program Interface) allows advanced
users to reach and change parameters in the VRML file
while running a 3D presentation. Selected VRML nodes
and fields can be dynamically changed, allowing to control
material properties, objects, cameras, lights, textures,
positions, rotations, animations etc. It is even possible
to dynamically add and remove new VRML models to a running
3D scene. The programming and connection to the 3D scene
is done with the built-in WireFusion Java object.
Up
3D batch conversion
A batch mode process to convert several 3D models to
the WireFusion W3F format.
Up
Replaceable signature
Possibility to remove or replace the WireFusion signature
in the HTML code.
Up
................................................................................................................................................................
Dynamic loading
Streaming of resources at startup
Resources (3D models, textures, images etc) can be streamed
into the presentation directly after the presentation
start, to ensure faster startup time.
Up
Loading of resources upon request
Upon request, external images and texts can be loaded
into the presentation, and replace existing resources,
after the presentation startup.
Up
................................................................................................................................................................
Publish as
Java Applet
Publishes a WireFusion presentation as a Java Applet
and prepares it for the web by inserting it into a default
HTML page.
Up
Java Application
Publishes a WireFusion presentation as a stand-alone
Java Application. Can be run in both window mode and
fullscreen mode.
Up
Java Component (Java Bean)
Publishes a WireFusion presentation as a Java Bean.
Java Beans are used as software building blocks from
which you can create more complex software programs,
or Java Applications. This feature allows for more advanced
Java developers to include WireFusion presentations
into their own Java projects or applications.
Up
Image sequence
Exports a WireFusion presentation as an image sequence
(JPEG), with adjustable frame rate. Use third party
tools to create e.g. AVI, QuickTime (MOV), Flash (SWF),
RealMedia (RM), Windows Media (WMV) and GIF animations.
